My story

Heading 1

From childlike wonder about small boxes to spiritual journeys, loss, healing, and the power of symbolism. Each amulet is an animated object, made from earth, fire, water, and air—a combination of materials, stories, and intentions.

My work invites connection: with yourself, with what was, what is, and what may yet come.

“It’s all about storytelling.”

I am delighted to share the origins of this project. It is very close to my heart and has been with me my entire life.

Like every child, I was always looking for small, valuable stones—and I wanted to keep them in even smaller, special boxes.
Letterboxes, mini serrets, viewing boxes... my heart would leap every time I found one 😉.

When I started traveling as a teenager, my fascination with small objects with big stories grew. Materials with history, with supposed energetic or spiritual powers, collective symbols... in short: objects to which individuals, peoples, and generations—consciously or unconsciously—gave meaning and significance.

Because everything I collected had to fit into a tiny backpack, I remained true to my intuition. During my travels through the Americas, India, Nepal, and Southeast Asia, I regularly encountered amulet cultures. Yet I didn't buy my first amulet until I was strolling through the streets of Bangkok with my four-year-old daughter.

It took years before I made an amulet myself. Many materials were already prepared. This was followed by a year of networking in Asia to have a custom-made silver collection of spirit houses made.

Key moments.
Several events contributed to my passion for relics and amulets:

The loss of my father at a young age, and the subsequent fascination with death cultures.

My grandmother's esoteric library and her interest in Jung and other thinkers.

The many church visits in my youth, with their reliquaries.

An education in art history, sculpture, and restoration.

Dutch lessons, in which I learned to recognize the power of symbolism in language.

My contact with fungi and plant medicines.

A block of clay found by chance during a bleak December month, somewhere in a deserted valley in the south of France where i lived for 12 years.

The encounter with a Raku ceramist.

An intensive immersion in energetic work since 2020.

The transition from a large house with a studio to a camper van with a toolbox.

Intense healing work and reaching a certain maturity ultimately proved essential.
